Greek parliament speaker suggests January 16 for confidence vote


ATHENS (Reuters) – The speaker of Greece’s parliament will propose the vote of confidence in the government, called by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras earlier Sunday, be held on Jan. 16, he said.

Nikos Voutsis said he would make the suggestion at a meeting of party leaders on Monday.
