Spain to exhume Francisco Franco remains on June 10: Deputy PM

MADRID (Reuters) – Spain will exhume the remains of dictator Francisco Franco from the Valley of the Fallen mausoleum and will take his body to be reburied in another location outside of Madrid on June 10, Deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo said on Friday.

“The cabinet has concluded the procedure to exhume the dictator’s remains and rebury them … in the state pantheon Mingorrubio El Pardo on June 10,” she said in the press conference following the Friday cabinet meeting.
