BEIRUT (Reuters) – Lebanon’s internal security chief Abbas Ibrahim told Reuters on Monday that Lebanese detainee Nizar Zakka would be freed by Iran on Tuesday and that Ibrahim would return with him to Lebanon.

Zakka’s release was not connected to any wider prisoner swap, as had been reported in some media, Ibrahim told Reuters.
