WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday called for the shooter who wounded six police officers amid an hours-long stand off in Philadelphia to get a “long sentence” and said the incident showed authorities need to crack down on street crime.
“The Philadelphia shooter should never have been allowed to be on the streets,” Trump tweeted. “Long sentence – must get much tougher on street crime!”
